"Chimera's Tooth" Wire Wrap Pendant

20g Brass Wire
28g Copper Wire

This is my first successful wire wrap pendant, and is made out of 28g Copper wire wrapped around 20g Brass wire. The tooth is actually a shark tooth that I had found on the beach at Sharkey's, in Florida. Since it lacks that tell-tale root that all shark teeth used in jewelry have, I thought it looked more like the tooth of some strange and unusual creature. The "wheel" that it's mounted on was supposed to be a cog, but I was having complications with the brass wire.

I included the ruler to give a good impression of just how big this turned out, so if you can, imagine it scaled to actual size, and you'll understand why I'm so proud of this one. That copper wire is thin, and hard to work with. The hardest part of making this pendant, was working so that the copper wire would not break in the middle of a wrap.



I've decided to give you guys some things that I'm really proud of. With my computer in the Critical Care Unit, I'm not going to be doing many finished drawings, unless I can find and transplant in another working motherboard for cheap (which is not likely). So, I'll be posting shots of some of my hand made jewelry for a while. Some rings and another pendant are next.
